7-UP

My inspiration for this piece was the soda 7-UP. I used the colors from the bottle, a picture of me...upside down, and then made textured paint to look like bubbles. I really like this piece because it was the first one I really did on my own-I got to have a lot of say on my composition along with the colors and what not.

Apples to Apples

This is my erasure drawing. I really like this
peice. Although, at the beginning, like usual, I didn't think it'd turn out wel. However, I really like how i used just the simple idea of an apple, yet incorporated the border of leaves, along with the leaves' colors.

India Ink pose

Okay, so this one
<---was practice....and this one
----> is my "final". They look
the same, right? I don't like
either of these at all. I don't feel like I got enough practice. However, one thing I do like about ----> That one, is the pose Kevin was in, along with color i added. Acutally, this isn't even the finished product. I went back in and added orange, to contrast with the blue. I guess overall, I just need more practice(:

Erasure Practice

Okay, so this is just practice. I don't like this piece, however I find the technique itself pretty fun. My actual finished piece for this project, is not up yet on the art gallery. I'll get it up asap(: But I don't like this because it is like a figure drawing. I'm not good at figure drawings at all, but I'd like to get better(:

heart

This piece is probably my favorite. It is the first piece I really did on my own without a prompt, and used the materials I wanted to. I used a lot of textured paint to create the heart and veins. I like the juxtaposition that the heart and veins create by laying on top of roman numerals.

Research Workbook

I love this peice. This is like my hand peice. I just used watered down acrylic and an ink pen to create this. This peice is the very beginning of my concentration statement...which is exploring anatomy and what not(: I really like anatomy and I cannot wait to continue basing my artwork off of it.

Research Workbook

This is one of my favorite peices in my research workbook. This was my original idea for the last project...using texture and raised fabrics and what not. My project however took off in a different direction, but my next one is going to be based around this idea/peice. I like this peice so much because i like using just watered down arcyrlic and pen. (:
